Remo's Birthday Cake 2010

Happy Birthday Dad!!! Bradley set out with some help to decorate a cake for his dad. It was a chocolate cake with royal icing which had some cocoa put in it.

Bradley loved putting the sprinkles on the piped icing, he even tried to sneak a taste...

Making sure he has made it up to his own standards...

Looking very happy with himself...

Happy birthday Dad!!! Hope you like your cake!!! And that he did...

Mud, mud demolition mud...

Rodney was watching Bradley play in the dirt on his cars and bikes. It looked like lots of fun. I don't think Rodney can wait till he gets himself all dirty.
Dad also watched close by, I think we were secretly waiting for Bradley to roll the car, lol, he loves the mud, but hates getting his hands dirty, anything else, is fine by him.
This is where we have been digging out, so then we can make a floor on that area and make the pergola bigger.

Really, it is a mud pit, looks like Bradley is bogged... Usually when it rains this area looks like a lake, it always floods. Its out little "catchment"...
Bradley thinks he might be able to rip it up on his bike, well, he can't get bogged on his bike :-)

And...
These 3 photo's are some more of our demolition yard we have here. The silver green shed will be getting ripped down, and we will have a pool there, one day...
Hopefully one day I can blog some new photo's once our work is done, but this wet weather makes it hard. Our roof is ordered, YAY!!!

Boobin it

For World Breast Feeding week, I thought I would share some of my special moments with my boys along with my Breast Feeding story :-)

The above photo is of Bradley, I never knew I had this photo of him :-O I was excited to see I actually do have a photo of our Breast feeding relationship together :-D. Even better, this photo is of him only a day or so old!!!
My breast feeding did not last long with him, we breast fed for at least 4 months, but, I went back to work, part time, and had trouble expressing, Bradley seemed to always be constantly on the boob, and I did not seem to get enough break to express, and when I tried, I could not get much out :-(

We had just bought a new house, and were renovating it. and still are 2 1/2 years later...

This was Bradley
caught in action, Remo spotted Bradley giving him the "bird".

Bradley again having a feed, I never knew I had these photo's, I thought I did not have any, oh how special these moments are of Bradley and I together. In the above photo, you can see Remo's hand on Bradley's head. Sadly, once Bradley hit not long past the 6 month age, he refused to take my milk :-( but these photo's are the treasured ones of our Breast feeding relationship we had together :-) I did not have anyone around breast feeding, and had no encouragement with him, or help.

After having thought that I had no photos of Bradley and I feeding, I made a point to wanting my FIRST photo of my next baby to be a bonding breast feeding experience, to have at least 1 photo, of a breast feeding relationship...

The above photo, is Rodney's first photo, a bonding moment, between the two of us, our first cuddle, our first feed, skin to skin contact :-)

These photo's are my 2 favourite moments of Breast Feeding my newborn son, Rodney :-)

Looking down upon Rodney as he feeds, Beautiful...

The 2 above photo's are of Rodney's first Easter :-)

Here is Rodney, I love the look on his face, as he was being burped after a feed!!!

PJ day, time for another feed, note: Rodney also gives that finger a work out, lol!!!

I love his hands, all fingers folded over, his hand clasped together...

WOW!!! and all this is MINE!!! as Rodney feeds away. Looking down on Rodney as he feeds holding his food, my boob ;-)

Here we are at the George Pentland gardens, photo taken by our friend Jen at a children's day :-) Bradley being his cheeky self behind ;-)

Here Is a couple of photo's to finish off, these were taken today, Bradley is sharing a cuddle as Rodney has his milk, and has a nap :-) Bradley calls it "Brother Rodney milk" Rodney has is almost 5 months, we are still going well with our Breast feeding!!!

HAPPY WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK!!!

Been a while...

It has been a while since visiting this site, so here is an update on the boys:
Bradley is enjoying his occasional care, he runs in the door now, and 'forgets' to say bye or give Rodney or I a kiss bye as we drop him off. I am glad he enjoys it, because if he didn't I would of pulled him out of there very fast!
He now has an 'indoor' bike he loves riding, and using the pedals. Also he is using more and more words, some we have no idea where he got them from...
Rodney is growing, fast, lol, rolling himself and loves playing around on the floor. Always looking up to Bradley and watching him wherever he goes.
Both boys are still very opposite to one another, even through the night, Bradley loved to be up all night, and started sleeping through from 4 months, where as Rodney was a great night sleeper until he hit 4 months...
Busy trying to find time to do our pergola, one day we might finish it....

Music...

I need to buy more kid friendly cds, ones that Bradley (and Rodney when older) can listen to and also sing along to, my current cd collection is limited, and Bradley has just learnt how to put music on himself, and loves dancing around to it...

The Boys

Well Rodney came into this world, after a long, but much shorter labour than Bradley... he is now almost 2 1/2 months old and in size 00 already, hes a real chubba bubba, compared to his older brother Bradley, who was wearing size 00 when he was 12 months old...

Both pregnancies were completely different, and both boys seem quite different now, sooo, same sex pregnancies do NOT always mean they will be the same, and because I did not find out the sex, everyone was guessing I was going to have a girl, well proved that one wrong...

They boys both play quite well together, and Bradley likes to get down on the floor and lay next to Rodney playing with the toys and the frames he lays under... Rodney tends to watch and take in everything Bradley does, I think he may want to start exploring early, and then I will have my hands full...

I have been lucky, as with both boys their personalities are calm and relaxed, they are quite peaceful, and don't give me too much of a hard time, they also take well to others holding them, and don't seem to worry when I leave the room.

I only hope they do grow to be the best of mates with each other and keep their current personalities...

Forgetful me :-S

OOPS, I forgot to pay the car insurance... Better do that in the morning. Don't ya hate being forgetful? ugh
